12th ECR Asia Pacific Conference

Efficient Consumer Response (ECR) is a strategy that requires collaboration between trading partners to integrate their operations and eliminate barriers that impact their ability to satisfy consumers and drive out unnecessary cost. ECR aims at increasing the choice and satisfaction and improving the service to the consumer whilst at the same time reducing the total costs, inventories and physical assets. 
 
ECR Asia Pacific is an independent joint trade and industry body, launched in 1999, to promote the use of ECR techniques as a means of removing unnecessary costs from the Supply Chain and making the sector, as a whole, more responsive to consumer demand.
 
Each year ECR Asia Pacific Executive Council organises the annual ECR Asia Pacific Conference and Exhibition. This is Asia’s largest gathering of elite ECR practitioners. For 2010, ECR Malaysia is delighted to be the host of this important event for the second time with the support from The Consumer Goods Forum (TCGF) network.
 
The ECR movement in Asia Pacific has gained tremendous momentum over the past years as suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, distributors and service providers seek to increase collaboration across the entire supply chain. Improving product availability and choice to consumers at lower prices has always been high on the industry’s agenda . The focus of the 12th ECR Asia Pacific Conference is to share supply chain best practices from the Asia Pacific region and around the globe and to present the development of strategies to retain and fulfil the needs of your existing customers as well as the new ones. It is also a platform to learn the latest supply chain strategies and insights from the major industry players who will be there to share their success stories on how they stay relevant and sustain their business. 
 
The 12th ECR Asia Pacific Conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza Mutiara, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from October 4 to 6, 2010.
